Ravenswood Generating Station Tour

Ravenswood Generating Station has powered New York City for decades. On this tour, plant engineers will walk us through the turbine hall and control room, explaining how natural gas is converted into the electricity that keeps the city running — and how the plant is adapting as the grid shifts toward cleaner energy.

What to expect:

• 2-hour walking tour of turbine and control facilities
• Safety briefing and protective equipment provided on site
• Discussion of the plant’s role in NYC’s energy transition
• Participants must be 16 or older
