Passaic Valley Water Treatment Plant Tour
Participants toured the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission’s treatment facility, one of the largest wastewater treatment plants in the country, serving over 1.3 million people across northern New Jersey. Plant operators explained the treatment process from intake to discharge and discussed ongoing upgrades to reduce combined sewer overflows into the Passaic River and Newark Bay.
